Menghadapi Kegagalan


When others fail?

  1. Learn. Those who know don’t fail. Those who don’t know, fail until they learn. Learning organizations embrace failure.
  2. Celebrate. Point out the good qualities that cause bad failures. For example, honor courage, curiosity, sincerity, and innovation.
  3. Encourage. Good people are hard on themselves. Encourage them when they fail.
  4. Explore. Was it taking too many risks? Dig into risk management. Was it overcommitting? Was it lack of resources or training?
  5. Discipline. Repeating the same mistakes calls for toughness.

Gagal itu mungkin monster, tapi nggak salah juga kan berteman dengan monster. Awalnya mungkin menyeramkan, tapi kalau sudah jadi teman, dia akan mengajarkan banyak hal, atau mungkin, kita akan lebih siap mendengarkan pesan-pesan yang Allah titipkan di dalamnya.

Good people are hard on themselves. Encourage them when they fail. Iya banget. Saya pernah bilang ke Ummi, “Mi, kalau aku berbuat salah, kadang rasanya sedih sekali kalau dimarahin lagi. Pasti aku sudah tenggelam sendiri dalam perasaan bersalah, kalau dimarahin lagi.. rasanya sedih sekali.”

Mengingatkan iya, tapi pada orang-orang yang keras pada diri sendiri, ada peran lain untuk tersenyum pada mereka di sana.

“Nggak apa-apa, Kak, yang penting Kakak bisa belajar.”
